Mission
Tinos Quarry Platform is a process-focused residency programme on the Greek island of Tinos. Tinos has a long tradition in the visual arts. The programme is administrated in cooperation with the Cultural Foundation of Tinos. It takes place in the village of Isternia. The area is isolated and should be ideal for artists looking for inspiration and for the concentration to advance their practice.
In particular, our aim is to enable our residents to explore new pathways in their work by encouraging experimentation. We believe that experimentation is vital in culture production. We provide an alternative organizational model and an independent environment. Our residencies are free.
